Bio
Born & brought up in the bustling city of Mumbai, I was lucky to have well-educated parents who were typically ahead of their time. From my early years, they made all the right decisions for me. They provided me with the right platforms to allow me to grow intellectually as well as explore my skills. They knew the importance of English as a “global” language, and so they ensured that I was educated an English convent school for my primary education.
My father, who is an engineer himself, was the top performer at his University. He encouraged me to pursue a graduate degree in Engineering. This provided me with both the technical knowledge & the aptitude to think logically and question everything.
In my childhood years I had the benefit of learning from the experiences of my elder brother. In later part of my formative years, I studied away from my parents, and learned to think independently & solve problems on my own.
Since graduating in 2003, I worked for a few years in India & gained early experience of working in teams & result-oriented assignments.
A close friend invited me to apply to a few technical institutions in UK to purse further education abroad. Although this was a tempting opportunity, it was a big decision & a significant risk. However it was my Mother who encouraged, inspired & supported me to eventually take the leap flight of faith to travel overseas for a Masters degree.
Following an excellent performance in my Masters degree, I was offered a scholarship to pursue a research degree. Yet again, a difficult decision, which was supported by my parents. I embarked upon my research degree, and returned to industry in 2011.
My return to the industry, however, was fuelled by the thirst for management & delivering success in an organized and systematic way. I have since been focussed on learning, improving & excelling at leadership & management.
More recently, my interest has been focussed around formulating visions and executing them through strategic planning.
